When our second baby came along, we kept that same mindset — no excess, no clutter, just what we knew we’d need.
But finding baby clothes that matched that thinking?
That’s where things got hard.
The fuel.
Our daughter has eczema. So softness wasn’t a luxury — it was a must.
We wanted gentle, covered, breathable outfits that felt good on her skin and gave her room to grow.
But when we went looking, most of what we found didn’t fit.
Not just in size. In spirit.
Loud prints. Harsh seams. Low quality.
And racks full of outfits that looked designed for fast fashion, not real babies.
We weren’t asking for much.

Something that felt as calm and considered as the way we were trying to raise her.

Funkii started with that moment — standing in a department store, holding up outfit after outfit, thinking:
